Information Design

A commonly overlooked area of design concern is the area of Information Design. This is the arena of making information more understandable or accessible. Graphs, charts, maps, tables, guides and instructions - what Philip Morrison called “cognitive arts”- take on new and deeper meaning when their design is carefully considered.

The Design Process
Adam’s Thesis work was entitled Second Order Design: Definition and Direction for Design Education. This was a diagram created to show how much of the design process involves social interaction with clients.
