Combix is a Next Gen E 911 solution provider, which has been in the business of 911since 1974. We were recently engaged to create a new visual identity for Combix, as they set new business objectives for the coming years. We created a new logo, colour codes, font selections, website, business cards and a corporate letterhead, as well as the graphic user interface for their software, which is all in keeping with the Combix vision.
MacKay-Lyons Sweetapple Architects are a Nova Scotia business, located in Halifax, but when you step inside their studio, you enter a space designed to be a world of its own. In this world, design excellence is the central focus of everyone there. Adam Foster Collins had the fortunate experience of working in the MLS studio as Graphic Designer for about 14 months.
During this time, the MLS visual identity was completely redesigned and expanded. The colour codes were adjusted, the typeface was changed, business cards and letterheads were redesigned, and a new website was designed and developed to showcase the company’s portfolio. From there, the new communication guidelines allowed further expansion to serve as a foundation for the development of proposal templates, presentations, and promotional material for the company’s educational laboratory, Ghost, which is held in Kingsburg, Nova Scotia each year.
P&G is a very large corporation, whose head office is located in Cincinnati Ohio. With almost 130,000 employees working in locations all over the world, and products which are iconic in many different cultures, any change in the organizational structure of P&G is like making an organizational change to a city.
Violet recently traveled to Cincinnati to collaborate with a team charged with the challenge of evaluating different courses of action for reaching business goals, and we focused specifically on effectively communicating findings and perspectives between departments and individuals within this complex, multi-national business entity.
Working with such an important business leader was an exciting experience for us, and we were extremely impressed with the passion, dedication, level of commitment and strength of vision we found in the people we worked with at P&G.
Founded in 1981,High-Crest Enterprises is long-term care and Health Services provider based in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
Our work with High-Crest began with a revision to their long-standing logo, and the subsequent design and development of a new corporate brand identity. This project included the establishment of fonts, colour codes and logo useage guidelines for corporate communications. From there, we created new business cards, corporate letterhead, building signage and a new company website.
The revised identity will serve the care-givers and residents of High-Crest well for many years to come.
Apus Peru is an alternative trekking agency based in Cusco, Peru. Violet has had the opportunity to collaborate with Apus in developing their brand to reflect the current identity of the business.
Our work for Apus Peru has involved revisions to an existing logo, the establishment of typefaces and a more extensive colour palette. These new elements were brought into play as we developed a catalogue of tour and trek packages, shirt designs, advertisements and a new company website.
The site is presently in development and will launch in 2011.
Blue Boat Social Marketing needed a visual identity to build a business on. The challenge was to create an identity around the name, Blue Boat in a region saturated with sea and ship imagery, without creating something that would come off as a cliché. We created a logo, business card, website and print advertising for Blue Boat.
Our solution uses a slight modification to the letter ‘A’ and an elegant, contemporary typographic arrangement as the basis for the logo. This is combined with a vibrant colour choice and a light, open layout of information in other aspects of the identity to create a unique, yet appropriate for voice the audience and subject matter.
